INVENTION WORKS

09-15-2011

The Invention Works is working with the Twisp Works to develop a computer lab at the Twisp site.  It is a beginning step to help provide training and help for people and businesses in the community.  We hope to have computer classes and software classes available.  We will be looking for programs that we can have available to people like Graphics, programs, video editing, cad programs to name a few.  We hope people and business communities will find these useful.

This page is for INVENTION WORKS news.  We will keep you informed on its progress.

Invention Works is a NON PROFIT CORP established in Washington State.  They are trying to create a school like facility that will help Inventors, and businesses develop new products and the skills needed to be successful.  This project will help create economic vitality, and employment by offering a place , instruction, and equipment to create new businesses and items while getting skills, education, assistance, and guidance needed to be successful .

INVENTION WORKS proposed site by invent-manufacture for a Non profit product development facility
INVENTION WORKS proposed site
The invent-manufacture group has proposed creating a facility to help inventors and businesses create new products, new job opportunities, new business opportunities, and economic vitality in our area. They have created a non profit corp to help make this happen.

There is a unique opportunity available for this unique project.  The city of Twisp Wa has created the Twisp PDA.  They have purchased the old forest service property.  They are working to create a facility to bring economic and artistic opportunities to the community to foster economic vitality .

We are trying to fill part of this need with the INVENTION WORKS facility.  There is a shop facility at the site that would be a great place for our project.  It was the old maintenance shop for the forest service.

We have been keeping in touch with the TWISP PDA organization and attending many of their meetings.  Our hope is to partner with the Twisp PDA ,  We would work with the TWISP PDA to combine their education opportunities with ours to supply skills that inventors, and businesses need to be successful. We wish to have equipment and staff available to assist people participating in our project to create new businesses and products.  We would hope new innovative ideas incorporating green concepts would be developed here.  Ideas incorporating recycled materials, renewable resources, and energy efficient concepts can be developed here.

Please help our project.  If you have ideas, if you have related skills you can teach, if you know of funding sources, machinery to donate or a few dollars we can sure use any help.  Our hope it this project will create new stable job opportunities.

Proposed site for INVENTION WORKS
We have sent the Twisp PDA a proposed program outline of the Invention Works concept.  This will give them something to work from.  We hope we can partner with the Twisp PDA and combine our concept for use with other entities needing duplicated classes.

We have finished our 501c application.  We are sending it to be reviewed.  After review to see if it should work we will send it off to the IRS.  We need this application to be approved so we can move forward.  When it is approved I will let everyone know.
